music mix updates and other random stuff!

dr_fumbles_mcstupidBlarhg! So music mixes have eaten my life lately, I am working on five fanmixes for Merlin, One fanmix for Waldorph's A highly Illogical mind series, a playlist titled songs to listen to after the Zombie apocalypse, and have ideas for a Doctor Who Fanmix, A supernatural fanmix and a Demon's Lexicon Fanmix (a book by the amazing Sarah Rees Brennan A.K.A. Sarahtales)
The Merlin fanmixes originally started out as one fanmix but spilled into FIVE! It is ridiculous! So three of them are completely finished! I am just working on Covers (read trying to get someone else to make them because I FAIL at photoshop) and I am working on two music videos to release with the mixes. But here is a sneak peak at the track list :D

Waldorph's Higly Illogical mind Mix is coming along more slowly. I have a few songs picked out, but her characters are so awesome and have so many sides to them that it I want to use so many songs and I am trying to narrow them down. I am also determined to do either one song per character or one song for each story, it is leaning more towards character right now. I am trying to reread all the stories in the series also which is taking longer than I want becasue I am taking a realy intense 8 week writing class at school. Also I am desperately trying not to use two worlds by Phil Collins for Spock, but it WON'T GET OUT OF MY HEAD. Here is what I have so far.
It is uncreatively titled A Highly Illogical mind fanmix! yay for creativity!
01. Astronaut by Amanda Palmer (Winona Kirk)
02. Our House by Madness (crew of the enterprise)
03. Never Young By Gogol Bordello (Kirk specificaly for fic #3 for a hundred visions and revisions)
04. Indestructible by Gogol Bordello (crew of the enterprise)

02. My Alcoholic friends by The Dresden Dolls (kirk)
So it is moving along slowly but It will be finished!
Songs to listen to after the zombie apocalypse is just what the title of the mix says. I am having a huge amount of fun with it. Surprisingly there are a huge ammount of songs about Zombies, so no shortage there, but I am also trying to take songs that aren't specifically about Zombies and make them fit for the mix. Here is what I have so far.

Also, I have started watching Supernatural, a bunch of my friends told me to watch it and I refused because I hate horror movies. This is obviously a horrible terrible lie because I love the show. I am halfway through season 2 and my mind has pretty much declared Wonderlust King by Gogol Bordello to be the show's theme-song, so this will result in me either (a. Making a fanmix for the show, or (b. Making a fan video for it. We shall see what comes of it.
The Demon's Lexicon playlist came about when I discovered that the Wonderful Sarah Rees Brennan is coming to Arizona on a book tour! (also coming with her are Kelley Armstrong, Melissa Marr, Alyson Noel, Holly Black, & Cassandra Clare) and I had no idea what to give her. I have already given her an awesome zombie boyfriend when I met her at comic-con. I was listening to faun fables and some of the songs fit, so fanmix it is!

(which was awesome by the way! It also had a short story by Garth Nix!)
So I have a huge amount of mixes I am working on!
In other News I participate in a Japanese Fashion show at Con-Nichiwa ( a local anime Convention) Last Friday. It was a ton of fun! I met a lot of other fun people. I met someone who is going to to TEACH ME HOW TO MAKE HATS!!! There was a professional photographer there who took pictures of us in our outfits, and someone who recorded the runway show. I am eagerly waiting for a link to the video and the pictures and I shall blog about the show and the outfits I wore when I get them.
I also finished another project for my photography class So I will be posting the pictures here when I finished editing them (This time we made Panoramas!)
P.S. guys, go check out the Psych re-watch community I am helping with! We have just finished the first episode and we are scheduled to watch 1x02 Spellingg Bee for this Friday! It is so much fun! Come join us! :D.
