I have been rather productive this year in regards to artsy things. I took a sewing class, color theory class, basic design, and a screenprinting class. I also made stuff for a craft fair, made some jewelry and costumes. all in all it was a really arty year.
So for basic design my favorite projects I did were my deep space and shallow space collages. We had to do the collages in black and white and becasue it was so hard to find b&W images from magazines I decided to do mine in photoshop.
The deep space collage was orignaly just a bunch of people walking around in a city but my teacher told me to liven it up, so i did.

and here is my shallow space collage

I also had to make a postcard that our teacher would send to us if we missed more than two classes (I wish I had just so he would have sent it to me!) For the copy I turned in I printed out each image separately and when I cut them out I left a white border around them to give it a cute cutout look. Here is the digital copy of it.
Color change
The idea I had in mind for the color change was to go from a sweet cute little girl to creepy little girl. The mood for the pictures is different, but I feel like it is not exactly creepy.
Here are my screenprinting projects.
The first project is based off of this picture of mana-sama. It was my first project and was only one color
My second project is a Katamari image. I used both my original drawings and official artwork. This one was crazy hard to line up (I printed around 30 of them and only 15 came out really well.)
after the Katamari image I wanted to do something easy. So I chose the cake from portal. I slapped the text behind t and the subtitle and the paint splatters and I had an image. I think it cam e out pretty spiffy.
My fourth project was designed specifically to be a gift for my Nana. Since she loves Asian art so much I decided to brush paint a picture for her. For the plum blossom one I painted all the layer myself with a Chinese brush painting kit. For the rocks and water one I used one my nana had previously painted. I found the haiku online and had my friend rewrote it for me

Screenprinting was an awesome class and this semester I plan on using some free lab time to make some more awesome stuff
I was also really productive with sewing this year. I made a pair of P.j. s aLydia deetz costume for a costume party, a poison Ivy costume for Halloween and half of a two-face costume for my brother. I also made my first plushie!
The P.j.s were made for my sewing one class
The Lydia Deetz costume was mad for my friends birthday party. She had a Tim Burton themed party and everyone was required to come in costume. I almost did Lydia Deetz from the cartoon show, but most of the people coming had never seen the cartoon. It was really hard to find reference pictures because the movie is filmed in darker lighting and she wears black throughout the whole movie. I got screencaps of all the outfits she wore in the movie and settled on the one I could see most clearly.
The costume was mostly thrift store shopping, but I had to take some things off the dress and sew in some seams. So it was a pretty quick costume
For Halloween I was originally going to make a prince outfit (The prince from Katamari) but my friend was going to go as Harley Quinn and insisted I go as poison ivy. I bought a green leotard and tights online and got a bunch of plastic plants. I originally tried hand sewing on all the leaves for the poison ivy costume but that took forever, so I ended up hot gluing them on. I made the skirt myself and also some arm warmers (Not pictured). I need to fix it up a bit though. I need to bring the leaves down farther because right now it makes me look very short and round.
I am still planning on making the prince costume for videogames live though! Here is the jacket I made for my brothers two face costume (Batman the animated series) I took two blazers and ripped them apart and then sewd them together. I am currently working on the pants and the tie.

I also played around with embroidery. Behold toast with a face!

the last think In the sewing catagory is plushies. I made my first plushie this year! isn't my wee ninja adorable!
For the art fair I made a number of things including hair bows, shriky dink earrings, clay charms, and record bowls.

Clay charms
I also made one thing just for me this year. These awesome lego batman earrings! I got the minifigures from comic con and just used a drill press to drill small holes into the heads. Then I used gorilla glue to glue in the rings and attached the earring hooks.

Here is my favorite project from my color theory class. We had to make a collage from color aid. Here is what I chose to do.
My final project for color theory was so time consuming I nearly died. It was a three part project. For the first part we had to make a collage out of solid colors from magazines. Then for the second part we had to exactly replicate the colors with only red blue yellow black white and magenta paint. For the final part we had to make the image a gain but drastically change the color.
